September 12, 2014 By Enter Shaolin 2 Comments

This week we have a lot going on. We are aware of an issue with the commenting system inside the membership. You can still leave a comment and it will show up don’t worry about the 404 error you get when you post your comment.  We are looking into this and will try and have it resolved in the near future.

We also ran into some bugs with our affiliate program. We are waiting to hear back from the software company to see how we can fix those bugs. We are hoping to have that out to you on Monday.

Here are the new videos we added for you this week…

Wing chun

– Muk Jong Set 4-B

Core Training

Dear Sifu Larry, somewhat unrelated to this post, I found your Youtube video with Jamie on response versus reaction *VERY* useful. I could see some subtle synergies with Sifu Phu’s videos on telegraphing and how a good martial artist will take advantage of it (in this case you moved your arm away to throw a hook punch that could invite a straight punch as a response – obviously you were still very kind as it was a drill). Am I thinking right? Please could you video more such drills with other combinations (including the use of legs/feet for delivering a response where appropriate) that can be used to program the mind to deliver a response rather than a reaction. Also, please could you provide more guidance on how to train solo for a responsive defence to enable unprogramming the reactive defence. Humbly yours, –anand

Hey Anand, I am glad you enjoyed the video. You are correct. That is just a drill designed to help a person develop a good response habit. In the near future I plan on putting up some more training videos 🙂
