Hi family, doesn’t it seem that between the months of Sept and Dec time flies incredible fast? As we fast approach the Gregorian New Year lot’s of people are getting ready to make their New Years resolutions.
I’ve never much liked that idea. The reason is because often times people create these “resolutions” only to end up giving up on them within a few short months.
So for 2020 I propose you do something different. Rather than creating resolutions, create powerful decisions to make changes in your life that really will have an impact for the rest of your life.
Don’t set a goal to get to your ideal weight. Create a goal to Burning more fat and live the healthiest life you can for the rest of your life. Don’t create a goal to get better at your kung fu in 2020. Decide to make kung fu an integral part of your day to day life for the rest of your life.
It’s been my experience that meaningful change only happens when you focus on life long changes rather than short term goals. Don’t get me wrong it’s important to make short term goals.
…However it’s more important to see the big picture!
Don’t Wait Because We Are Not Promised Tomorrow
Another thing I have been thinking about as we wrap up this year is how precious life is. Take the time out now to do the things or say the things you need to say. We are not promised tomorrow. I recently lost a friend to his battle with Cancer. That hit me really hard because it had me thinking about my own Cancer journey and all the changes I’ve made since finding out I had it also.
My friend, at Enter Shaolin when we say you are family we mean it from the bottom of our hearts. If you ever feel the need to talk or pray you can always reach out to us.
Before wrapping up this post I’d also like to say thank you very much for being apart of our martial art family. We are blessed and fortunate to be able to share with you our beautiful family kung fu system.
