Hey family, if you got our last update, we talked about what’s been going on. If you didn’t check out the last week’s update you can watch it here = > Health Update
Here’s a breakdown of some awesome results Sifu Larry has been experiencing on his healing journey with raw plant-based foods.
In the first week, he got rid of the seasonal allergies that have been plaguing him since he was a little kid. He still can’t believe he can go outside and not be miserable at this time of year. I love getting to see him be able to actually enjoy being outside. Hello, sunshine and vitamin D!
By the second week, his arthritis that pops up especially when it is going to rain or any major shifts in the weather is also gone. Goodbye inflammation!
He has also had these pesky painful almost blister like bumps that come up throughout the year on his hands and feet. He tried everything to get rid of them according to the mainstream doctors, by week 3 they were also disappearing.
IBS… Yup, that’s gone too!
And that extra weight around the middle despite eating “healthy” according to the world and exercising consistently that would barely budge, it’s melting off of him like crazy. 2 months ago he was 227, he is now 193! He started losing some weight doing double workouts and not eating past 9pm. Now he is has reduced his workouts, still not eating late, and the weight is still shedding due to his dietary changes and a fat burner supplement, if you do not know how their work, read this Meticore reviews.
He was finally able to fit back into the clothes this past week that he had been saving for many years (10 to be exact) to fit back in to. His wife told him numerous times to get rid of them, but he refused.
Let’s just say it’s a good thing he held on to them as he was starting to swim in his other clothes! LOL
Much of the changes he made within the past 4 weeks, I’ve told him about over and over the years. Because I saw how making simple changes healed me from many similar issues. But he didn’t fully believe me.
When I first got to NJ, my daughter and I shared meals with Sifu Larry’s family. I wasn’t opposed to eating biblically clean meats from time to time (maybe some wild salmon every other week or some kosher/halaal lamb 1-2x a month, some pasture raised eggs a few times a week), but this was daily multiple times a day. I didn’t feel drawn to eat like that and had issues eating lots of meat before growing up.
But Sifu Larry insisted I would need lots of protein to work out as hard as I was. I really didn’t think so (plus knew I could get more protein from plant sources), but decided to try it his way. After all I wasn’t going to be eating processed foods with the meat like I did growing up or have canned veggies and little fresh fruit and veggies, so I decided to try his experiment.
It wasn’t working… I blew up, I was bloated and looked at least 6 months pregnant easily, my skin was a hot mess, my hair started to thin and depression was coming at me almost daily.
On top of that, my recovery time was meh at best, cardio was rough and then my Asthma came back and I started having food intolerances…
It was insane! I was literally having the same issues Sifu Larry was having coupled with his wife’s. I hadn’t had an Asthma attack since the 7th grade, which I didn’t realize at the time was because I had become a vegetarian after doing a book report! I knew it was why my weight loss issues subsided, my bloating, my allergies were way less but didn’t realize it was also why my Asthma went away. I thought I grew out of it from conditioning my lungs to play the alto and soprano saxophone…
I am sure that helped some, but after having this happen a year after eating meat consistently, I realized it was more diet related.
I tried Keto, Paleo, The Virgin Diet, counting calories and macros, Intermittent Fasting (still do this), you name it and all those felt okay for a month or two, but nothing ever felt good past that. Went to Pescatarian, again a bit better, but still not 100%, to vegetarian, to vegan. Keep in mind, in all those cases, I was eating fresh whole foods and very, very little processed anything and lots of organic foods.
All these helped more and more. Pescatarian and vegetarian meant very little allergies, less bloating, less depression, asthma gone. Being fully vegan completely eliminated my allergies, even lesser depression and really shortened my recovery time. But what helped the most to heal my body fully was raw foods and very, very little cooked foods aka raw vegan or as I like to call it, the Garden of Eden diet. 🙂
I’ve done 30 day raw food cleanses numerous times, and always felt my best during those times. Bloating nada, skin issues buh-bye, allergies 100% gone, inflammation gone, depression (what’s that?), extra weight peace out.
But I always went back to cooked foods in the Fall/Winter especially or as a treat with my daughter, to be able to eat with family, etc. And it would always be like an avalanche and trying to climb back out of one to get back to feeling 100%.
On a side note the only time my daughter doesn’t have mood disorders, depression and eczema is when she sticks to a high raw vegan diet as well.
Please note in sharing Sifu Larry’s results, my daughter or mine, I am by no way bastardizing eating cooked foods from time to time. But I do think for ultimate healing from my own personal experience and seeing other’s, that it should be extremely minimal and obviously kept healthy.
Food is very addictive, especially ‘food-like’ products. It’s easy to be derailed if we aren’t careful. And the reality is, most of us know someone or are someone that is in a health crisis.
But it doesn’t have to be that way, we have everything within reach to be able to live without pain, depression, excess weight, diseases and so much more.
Most people are living to eat, instead of eating to live. Our food is meant to heal and be our medicine.
The reality is, it’s not that hard to eat well once you do. Your cravings start to go away, your taste buds change, your sense of smell increases, your body odor vanishes and tons of health issues start healing and vanishing too.
In short, don’t wait to start really living and taking care of yourself now. Don’t wait until a major health crisis. You deserve it and so does your family.
Do your due diligence and test/prove all things and hold fast to that which is good. Stop compromising on your health and life, you deserve it.
And if going full raw foodist, seems a bit extreme to you, why not try eating like the majority of the Blue Zone people who have high concentrations of centenarians? Some are completely plant-based and others consume minimal animal products. The ones that do, only 5% of their diet comes from animals. Their diets are pristine, no processed foods aka all natural wholesome foods. They also get lots of fresh air, sunshine, exercise, etc.
Food is just one part of becoming healthy. We are excited to share more as we continue on this awesome healing journey!

My wife and I are both vegan and have been for a couple of years. We were vegetarian for 3 years before going vegan. We are not raw vegan but we have had tremendous health improvements chosing this lifestyle.

It is good to hear that Sifu Larry is getting well.
I don’t mind sharing our experiences. Firstly, my wife has a lot of food allergies which caused tremendous issues. The doctors even thought that she had lupus and IBS. She does suffer from diverticulitis from time to time. Since we adopted a strict vegan diet, she has very few issues now. In my situation my total cholesterol had eased up to 176. Just one month after going vegetarian, it dropped 25 points. We are two years into living a plant based, whole food diet and my total cholesterol is 105. My blood pressure is normal and I have lost 35 pounds, without working out. We feel energized and rarely catch even a cold. I should say that I am 56 years old. We can eat all that that we want to and not gain weight. Protein is not an issue, we get plenty from plants without the animal fats or cholesterol as verified by annual physicals. I am impressed with your raw veganism, I am not ready for that yet. Keep it up!!

Thanks William

Wow! Thank you Sije Jamie for sharing your experiences on better diets to a healthier life and provided us the updates on how well things are with Sifu Larry. I agreed with your experiences completely. Many processed food are very toxic and do more harm than good to benefit our body. If one cannot be a vegan at least have more vegetables added on daily diets.
To Sifu Larry, it must have been tough for you to go through this. I hope your faith with that strong mind and spirit you can fully recover quicker. Good luck on the journey to fast recovery!

Thank you! 🙂

You are most welcome, Thoi! Totally agree, the point is to eat lots of healthy fruits and vegetables, if you still want meat, okay, but do it in proper portions and get the most quality healthy meats you can and eat in moderation. Thanks for the love, Thoi!
