Hi family, it’s never a dull moment over here. Before giving you this week’s updates I thought I would share with you what I’ve been up to lately.
About 3 weeks ago I was about 226 lbs. Right now I am currently 205 lbs and I plan on getting down to somewhere in the 180’s. For me that’s small because I do have a lot of muscle under my flubber. I’ve been training and exercising to some degree since I was about 16.
So I don’t see myself getting to the 170’s though I will never say never. When I was 33 I got down to 176 lbs and I felt that was to small for me.
So the question is what exactly am I doing?
It’s really nothing too special, I am going to bed earlier. This means I am not snacking as much before bed as I usually do. I still do treat myself to a mochi every now and then. I get up between 4:30 and 5:00 am.
That’s what I was doing when I was in my early 30’s. I do some light exercise in the morning and try to exercise again in the afternoon so that’s 2 workouts a day.
Let me just say though, I am not breaking my back working out. My workouts are rather easy. I could push harder certainly but right now I am seeing where my weight goes with a little exercise.
My exercise includes Treadmilling, Mountain Biking and weight lifting. I don’t include my martial arts training in that because martial arts has always been apart of my routine.
I am always training. It’s just what I do. Sometimes that training is me doing my forms, most times I get my training in while I am teaching my students. In my early years of training though I did a lot of solo drills.
My Challenge To You
Here is the challenge: For the rest of the month I challenge you to do these 3 exercises 5 days a week, for the rest of the month.
The numbers don’t matter you can do 5 of each one or 50 of each one. The exercises are Iron Pillars, Crunches and Push ups.
Here’s how ==> Iron Pillars, Push Ups and Crunches
The idea is you are creating a healthy lifestyle habit.
Let me know in the comment section if you decide to take up my challenge.

Like you i stepped on a scale last week it read 250 I am 5 foot 10 inches. Back when i was 30 I was only 190 when i was 25 180 6 percent body fat. With that I put myself on a diet as I found I was not eating right and my workouts that used to be two a days plus training were once in a wile and training. I am also working for that past mark of 190 lbs for me and think this is just the thing i need to get me in the right mindset to do that however there is a catch to this. I will not only be working for the loss of lbs but in honor of my past as a retired soldier from the 101st Air Born Fort Campbell KY I will be doing no less then 101 reps of each by the end of the month. In the drive to loss 60 lbs and forget were i left them I will take this challenge and raise it from 50 to 101 will let you know how it goes.
