Hey family, how are you doing? I hope great! 🙂
This week we have been busy filming extra as Sifu Phu is departing for Israel tomorrow. We wanted to make sure we had plenty of great content both free and for members only while he is away. We are also going to start podcasting again. It’s been a bit too long of a hot minute since our last one, to say the least!
One awesome thing that started this week and is an on going project of mine is the Enter Shaolin daily challenges. I created them to a. hold myself accountable for getting my basic training in daily and b. to also inspire others to hold themselves accountable for the same.
The cool thing is since these challenges are on going and there is no end date… That means your Day 1 starts the day you say, “YES!” Yes to a better you, yes to a more healthy you, yes to a more fit mind, body and spirit you. Seriously, why would you not say YES to that? 😉
1. Daily Qigong Challenge
Warning, daily Qigong practice may cause these benefits: Less Stress, better overall health, better quality sleep causing often to need less, increased energy, less aches and pain due to breaking up stagnant chi, better posture and balance, improved flexibility and joint mobility, increases the immune system and so much more! It has also been known to help people with high blood pressure, asthma, circulation issues, seizures, depression, arthritis and so much more.
My personal goals for my Qigong training:
My main goal is to reap the extra energy and health benefits of daily Qigong. I also am going to be teaching a group of women in the Fall Qigong, C.O.R.E. exercises and some Yoga. So I need to stay sharp and perfect what I’ve already learned and expand upon it. I am also looking forward to seeing the changes not just in myself, but also my daughter.I am doing Qigong with her in the evenings before bedtime to help us get the most restful sleep. My goal is to be doing Qigong 2x a day within the next week. Double the benes.! 😉
2. Daily Tai Chi Challenge
Warning, daily Tai Chi training may cause these benefits: Improved metabolism, weight loss for those with excess weight, helps maintain bone density, improves your heart health, increases metabolism, stronger immune system, decreases pain, increases mobility, improves your mood and mentality, alleviates stress and also helps with a goodnight sleep plus much more. It also helps to improve your balance and helping your body to move correctly as one, increases your energy awareness and also helps you to be able to move energy and learn to whip it into your opponent, all of these help you to be a better martial artists. They don’t call it ‘The Ultimate Grand Fist’ for nothing!
My personal goals for my tai chi practice:
My main goal is to memorize the whole long form of Tai Chi. I know the benefits I have received just from the little bit I know and am looking forward to the health, physical and training benefits from this daily practice!
3. Daily C.O.R.E. (Combat, Offense, Reflex and Energy) Training Challenge
Warning, daily C.O.R.E. training may cause these benefits: Develops your balance and stability, better reflexes, increases strength and speed, boosts agility and increases your energy. It will also help you tone up, build muscles and tendons strength and snappiness with calisthenics and other techniques, plus increases your mood and overall health.
My personal goals for my C.O.R.E. training daily are to:
– Overall increase my flexibility and fitness.
– Increase my wrist strength.
– Increase my tendon snappiness.
– Be a pushup master!
– Increase my core strength.

Also this week, we have been yet again trying to troubleshoot why some of our webinars look good and others only go to 360p, eek! We have the highest speed internet available, sadly that is Business Class with Comcast the only option for the area. Sometimes it runs great and other times it is spotty… We have hardcore routers, extenders and even have tried doing direct connect vs. wifi, it just doesn’t matter and each webinar is like playing Russian roulette with more times than not the odds have not been in our favor!
And we are not getting anywhere for help from Comcast, man does it suck to be railroaded into only have one option, especially when that option is shoddy at best and isn’t reliable when you need it.
We haven’t given up yet, we are still searching for solutions so we can have more consistency with playback quality for ya’ll! 🙂

Just curious…have you asked Comcast to switch your channel? The fact that it’s hit or miss suggests that the channel you’re on get crowded by other users. A tech should be able to test and switch you to the channel with the least traffic. I’ve had to have that done on several occasions and it worked like a charm! Hopefully it’ll help you too.
