Enter Shaolin Update | The Importance of Staying In The Know

January 27, 2017 By Sije Jamie Pelaez 16 Comments

WHAT'S NEW @ ENTER SHAOLIN?Hey family, how has your week been? We had the opportunity to upgrade more of our much needed equipment this past week. We also have been doing a lot of masterminding on how we can add more value to all members whether free, lite, junior and so on… You are going to really want to pay attention so you know what awesome stuff is available now as well as in the near future. 😉

CHALLENGE #1: Read each week’s update, even if you are on vacation, etc. It doesn’t have to be on Friday, but by Monday bare minimum would be ideal, so you can plan your week accordingly and stay up-to-date with the happenings of Enter Shaolin.

CHALLENGE #2: Comment and share your thoughts or ask questions here on this post below in the comments section. This not only gives us an idea of who really is paying attention and getting the most out of their membership, it helps us know what your thoughts/questions are so we can continue to improve Enter Shaolin for you. It also builds community. All which are awesome and helpful! 🙂

TIP: If you have a specific day you plan for the week ahead to schedule, etc., then that would be a great day to add in reading your Enter Shaolin weekly update so you can plan accordingly.

We’ve done our best to make it ridiculously easy to stay up to date with your training and your membership, in the end not only do you see where your money is going in the investment of your training, but you also know when changes and upgrades are made, what new training is available as well as bonus lessons on life, time management, finances, training & more. Truly it’s a win-win to stay up-to-date and in the know!

We email the weekly update to you every Friday to the email you singed up with. If you aren’t getting them, make sure to check your spam/junk folder or for gmail users your promotions tab. If you find our emails in these areas, you may need to whitelist us to keep your future emails in the inbox. 😉 Still can’t figure it out? Email me here and ask for some help!

Also, when you login our member’s home page/training page, right under the welcome video you can go to the ‘Stay In The Know’ section to catchup at anytime:

STAY IN THE KNOW W/ ENTER SHAOLIN
I wanted to bring this up as I get emails and chats often with questions that have already been addressed numerous times in the weekly updates. 9 times out of 10 those people are not reading the updates. It saves us all time if we utilize our resources to stay updated, plus cuts down customer service and technical support (so thank you in advance). We also have a FAQ page that you can find often on the member’s sidebar, bottom of any page, under the member’s sub-menu in the main menu and under the About section too. Many times questions you have can be found there that are common things from billing to technical issues and more. Utilizing these resources can help you get help faster, so make sure you are utilizing these resources to your advantage.

Speaking of the FAQ, we will be revamping it this upcoming month with more common questions and technical issues and how to address them/fix them.

Back to the weekly updates….

One of the things we decided when we created Enter Shaolin was the necessity of a weekly update. Not just to help us see the progress of our own vision unfold, but primarily to help members and potential members to see an insider view of what goes on behind the scenes, help you find the latest trainings and give you lots of inspiration and extra help along the way too. 🙂

Whether you are an Intro free member or have up-leved to the Lite or Full Membership, there is always something for you in the updates to help you in your Kung Fu journey.

So what new equipment did we get this week?

We got a new shotgun microphone with a boom kit and a very much needed new printer not pictured. 😉

We were previously using the Rode VideoMic Pro here. Which did a great job especially compared to our generic $30 something one we had before in the beginning (Have you ever watched our green screen videos?!?)… LOL! Just like there are levels Kung Fu mastery, there are levels of microphones and sound equipment. We are just touching the surface too!

Check out our new microphone and kit, it is the Rode NTG-3 Location Sound Package here.

RODE MIC UPGRADE

You will see the effect of this new equipment in the upcoming weeks once we get through releasing earlier lessons we filmed. It sounds great and can’t wait for you to hear the difference!

The printer we got was a combination of function and economical printing, it is the Brother MFC-J4620DW Wireless 4-in-1 Printer here, our old printer was a hand-me-down and has been on it’s last leg for the last few months. Eek!

Lets just say I have spent the majority of the past week researching and researching. Actually the past several between the above new equipment, searching for the right scheduling application (still narrowing this down) and a podcasting that we haven’t purchased yet.

I was telling Sifu Larry that I really miss how just 5 to 10 years ago researching was so much easier. There weren’t 100’s of options for one thing or 100’s of video and website reviews on those 100’s of options. Researching these days can literally be a full-time job!

Thankfully that is all settled and we are moving forward. 🙂

In between researching, customer service, technical support and the other day to day functions of Enter Shaolin, Sifu Larry and I have been masterminding about how we can add more value to our Enter Shaolin Family within our boundaries of funds and time. It’s something we mastermind about regularly.

Here is a list of some of the things we have been masterminding about:

  • Doing a live Q&A session on a Google Hangout 1-2x a week.
  • Offering 1 on 1 video conferencing critiques and private lessons.
  • Doing webinars to help our affiliates learn how to market online/offline, etc.
  • Starting back up our monthly webinar series.
  • Sifu Larry and I doing more videos covering training, tips and motivation.

If you remember a few weeks ago we sent out an email and asked if anyone would like to write for Enter Shaolin… We had a really great response and I am excited to see the value this will add to all. We are in the process of figuring out what is the best way to implement this writing program to make it simple for all that want to contribute and God willing profitable for all.

I will be emailing out all the goods and details to those that were interested this upcoming Monday, so keep an eye out on your inbox if you raised your hand. 😉

Oh and one more goodie for our Intro free members and Lite members… We decided to add a weekly free lesson from the training vault. Each lesson will be available for that week only, so make sure you stay up to date with our weekly posts, so you get access to the new one for that week.

You will be able to see your free lesson in the Ngo Dac Na Intro at the very top, see the image below:

NGO DAC NA INTRO FREE LESSON OF THE WEEK
Also we have been getting back to adding memes and quick tip videos to Instagram and Twitter. We are going to stay diligent to keep doing these as they are another way for everyone to learn and grow more with Enter Shaolin.

Aloha! . This is Greg from Hawaii. I am interested n writing for the site. Although I was a psychology major in college, I tutored student athletes and proofread papers and assignments for several years. I am also a fitness and healthy lifestyle coach as well as a martial arts enthusiast. It would be an honor to contribute to ES. I appreciate your work and what you are attempting to accomplish. There are a plethora of negative examples via social media but ES, (like Gandhi) is being the change they wish to see in the world. Please continue to positively impact lives and empower others to be their very best. Kulia I Ka Nuu-always strive to reach the highest summit. Mahalo nui loa and a hui hou! Greg

I bought that Wooden Dummy (Muk Jong) locally. In the Wing Chun course in the training vault you will find a full breakdown of the Muk Jong, training drills & applications.

Hey Mario, this is where we got the dummy you are speaking of: http://www.entershaolin.com/mac It’s called the Martial Arts Companion. We use it in many different ways and have drills for it in the member’s area and some on our YouTube channel Enter Tai Chi as well.

You mentioned a free and a lite level and I’d like to recommend them to people who may be interested but when I click on the Join link it doesn’t show those. How would someone who’s interested and wants to try it out find those?

Hey Melani, the Lite program is not available on the join page as it is a different program and doesn’t encompass everything the main memberships do. You can send them to this link for the Lite: http://www.entershaolin.com/start

Are you an affiliate yet Melani? If not you can go signup here: http://www.entershaolin.com/affiliate Then you can use your affiliate link instead and will get commission for anyone that signs up with your link.

If I understand this correctly as an affiliate I would need to put banners and links on a website that I own. Is that correct? Or can I just make referrals by word of mouth?

Hey Melani, no you don’t have to have a website, but if you did you could use the banners, etc. You can also share the videos and memes we put up on any social media sites you are on and add your link to signup or via word of mouth. We will be covering all that in our first Ambassador/Affiliate webinar along with other goodies. 🙂
