We recently started filming Sije Jamies training progress. Training with Focus Mitts can be very effective in teaching you timing and accuracy. You can also gauge if your strikes are effective.
What’s good about these particular videos we are filming you get to watch someone who hasn’t been training very long. If you are new to training in martial arts maybe you can identify with some of the problems she is having.
We think it’s great that Sije is letting us film some of her lessons.
When you are training you want to make sure that you give yourself some grace. All of us where beginners at one time.
Highlight: @ 18:51 Listen to Sifu Phu talk about the roots of our family system of Ngo Dac Na
Using Focus Mitts To Train Your Striking
When you are using pads to train your strikes you want to make sure you sink your energy. The tricky part is timing your body with your strikes. When done correctly your strikes should feel heavy.
Hi, new here?
Sign up to get access to our complimentary Intro membership. You will get our Ngo Dac Na Intro series as well as our Ngo Dac Na ebook plus some great bonus training too! And yes... It's really free.
Ask your partner for feedback. If you are striking well your training partner will feel it in their arms and possible shoulders.
