Hey family, how are you this week? It’s been hectic here between kids starting school, making sure we have everything we need for our seminar last week and praying about loved ones, strangers and connecting with people seeing how we can help in anyway we can.
For those of you not in the U.S. or near by, we’ve been experiencing some rough weather. Hurricane Harvey hit Texas, Hurricane Irma busted through the Caribbean and is heading to Cuba and Florida.
There’s also Hurricane Jose which is looming right behind Irma and Katia is brewing in the Gulf while Mexico just got hit by an 8.1 Earthquake yesterday on the 7th of Sept., my brother Jimmy’s 35th birthday who lives in Ft. Lauderdale.
I called him yesterday to wish him a happy birthday, to share my concerns about Irma, offer help and to find out his game plan. I also followed up with my dad, grandparents, one of my cousins and will be checking on more family and keeping tabs on everyone daily.
My Grandma was so thankful when I offered to help her evacuate it made me so appreciative and grateful. It’s the small things that make this life light up and so worth it.
It’s also great seeing despite the mainstream media trying to create fear, hate and division that so many are stepping in and helping each other with their hands, resources, time, skills and/or monetarily.
I pray when these storms cease that we remember just how much our neighbors near and far helped us and how we are all a part of the same team at the end of the day, regardless of our perceived differences.
Speaking of praying, if you are the praying type, please pray for these storms to lessen and for all those involved to be safe and covered. Thank you in advance prayer warrior family!
On a brighter note, we are looking forward to seeing some of you this upcoming week at our Washington D.C. Seminar. For those that won’t be there, we will miss you! But don’t worry, you won’t miss out on all the fun (just some of it 😉 ), you will however be able to watch the video footage. Our official seminar camera man Ken will be manning one camera and Sifu Larry and I will be taking turns filming extra footage with our other camera…
Yes, I said other camera! We got our second camera in just yesterday! Whoop!
Thank you to those that upgraded or recently joined as an Abbot to help us get some more of the equipment to start refilming and making DVDs. We still have more to do and get, but we are getting there! We also took out a Paypal Working Capital Loan which we have done for the 3rd time since opening Enter Shaolin. This option from one of our payment processors has helped us to get some of the equipment and site upgrades over the years.
We are one step closer to this next phase of Enter Shaolin and super excited!
We also have several family members offering to help behind the scenes here at Enter Shaolin (thank you). We are working at creating systems to make the transition for all easier and productive!
After the Seminar we will resume our podcasts (finally!) and we are thinking about having a second webinar Tuesday nights so more members can get involved.
We will also be scheduling time with our Affiliates (see Sifu Larry’s post from last week for more info on that) to help create marketing plans for them and plus have trainings.
And that’s just some of what’s going on!
Before we get to this week’s replay and your new training of the week..
