Hey family! It’s our favorite time of the week! New training, webinar replays and for many of us we are embarking on our day of rest. I am personally extra excited for this last part, because Sifu Larry and I have gotten back into our full exercise regimen this past week.
And with working late nights all this past week, lets just say my body is ready to just rest!
We had gotten off of our normal routine when Sifu Larry got injured in Nov. and then he got sick and then and then. Indeed it felt like an endless cycle that left us doing the bare minimum to not go backwards. I regret not working out a bit more personally though!
Note to those that have gym buddies and training partners…
DO NOT BE THE MARTYR, keep up your routine while you are waiting on your friend/fam to heal.
There is no need for you both to be almost starting back at square one. No bueno!
Have you ever done that? Gotten off track for several months? It’s no fun, and I highly recommend avoiding such things. While I am sore and tired, I am so grateful to be back to working out full-time again. 🙂
Now if this weather would cooperate, I can get back to more mountain biking! I miss exploring the trails and the woods! We got a couple small rides in this past week, as it was like Spring for a moment… Then we had a cold front come in today with tornado warnings too! But speaking of Spring and exploring, I am also excited to do so wild edible foraging this weekend!
I will make sure to take pictures of what I collect and share the benes. of eating wild edibles and each of their benefits. 🙂
How is the weather where you are family, what outdoors activities are you excited to explore?
So what else is going on? Well we managed to get back on track exercise wise, but fell back on podcasting. No worries, though as we will be back to podcasting this upcoming week!
The good news is while we don’t have a podcast for you, we do have this week’s Member Q&A webinar!
We have been enjoying getting to spend this time with those that make it on. This week Sifu Phu joined in from Israel! I am not going to lie, I am beyond jelly he gets to go visit the Holy Land every other month! The history, the people, the food!!! Aye!
I can’t wait for the day God blesses all of us to be able to go over there. So looking forward to it!
Where are you looking forward to traveling to one day?

Want to join in on the fun next webinar? I included next week’s registration link in the Friday update email, I just sent you. If you can’t make it, no worries, send in your questions and I will make sure we cover them on the next webinar. 😉
In other news…
I am a mix of excited and a wee bit nervous. Sifu Phu was invited over a month ago to teach a 45 minute demo on Ngo Dac Na in Boston, MA at the MPower Summit August 18th-20th, 2017. But that’s not what I am nervous about…
We as in Sifu Larry and I, just found out a few days ago that they want us to speak on how to take your martial arts school online to generate more students and revenue.
I have spoken in front of a few decent sized crowds (though this one might beat those), but it’s been a few years and honestly it’s always freaked me out a bit.
See I am a bit of an introvert, so is Sifu Larry… But God just keeps putting us in the teaching helping roll and well you just can’t help and teach people without getting your face out there and yeah talking to people too! Granted once we get going, we do warm up fast and if we like you, well we are an open book!
So it’s awesome and a bit scary all at the same time. Not to mention, we have to come up with a course for those that want to learn how to do what we did with Enter Shaolin.
Now here is the funny part… We had already planned on doing so, since day 1 honestly. Not just for martial artists either, but for anyone that has something awesome that they are passionate about. We want to be able to help others to be able to do what they love and be able to support their family and lifestyle too!
God indeed works in mysterious ways and boy does He ever know how to light a fire under ya!
So the funny part is, we just haven’t had the extra time with building, maintaining and growing Enter Shaolin to make this course. And well now?
God’s got our backs to the wall and there is no way out but up! So this is indeed a blessing, because it will indeed help us help more people! Maybe it’s not on our preferred timing, however what I know is He wouldn’t lead us to this place, if we weren’t meant to be here. I know while it seems to be an inconvenient time for us, that by making time for this it will indeed bless us and so many others too. So the sacrifices and the buckling down even more are all worth it.
Mark 10:27 and Philippians 4:13 keep coming to my mind and I am grabbing a hold of those words and running with them!
Have you ever experienced a situation that you kept putting off due to time and resource constraints?, And then bam all of a sudden you to find yourself face to face with that project, fear, etc., etc., with no choice but to jump in and conquer it!? I’d love to hear your story in the comments section below!
Oh and one more treat before you get it this week’s awesome training family!

You great people are my real family!
We are honored to be a part of your family brother and to have you a part of ours!
Hi Enter Shaolin,
Is there a way you can repeat the questions before you answer? I tried to watch the video above, but it sometimes is difficult to follow because I do not know what the question was.
Thank you,
Andy
Hey Andrew, if you noticed last week’s and even on this one, I do say the question and for the very reason you said… However, this time both Sifus sniped a few of questions before I could say them. Sorry about that, I will remind them to not do that on this next webinar.
Sije Jamie,
I’m a bit behind in catching up to your blog post here but I wanted to comment on something that hit home for me. You mentioned being a bit nervous in speaking in front of groups. Well, that is a situation that I can relate to. Some can do better with smaller groups, some better with very large groups. I know you’ve heard of that survey taken some time ago where many have described public speaking as near death, or is it worse than? You probably have more experience than I do but my body seems to take on those involuntary quirks that can seem a bit daunting…lol 🙂 Doing a lot of deep breathing seems to calm that overwhelming feeling.
It’s Easter weekend and I want to share an interview of which I will post on the Family forum. You remember the actor Jim Caviezel who played Jesus in the Passion of the Christ? He makes a very moving statement that speaks to the very heart of all that we do, here at Enter Shaolin and outside in our daily lives. Please check it out!
Thank you Sije Jamie,
Tom
Hey brother Tom! Thankfully while I get nervous, I don’t think it feels like near death. Woah! LOL
I’ve had different experiences, when I was younger and took acting at school to overcome my fear (so didn’t work), when it was my turn to do my lines in front of the crowd, I’d blank out. Meaning my subconsious took over. I wouldn’t be back in reality until I exited the stage. It was crazy, but somehow I remember my lines and did well. It was my body/mind’s way of dealing with it at that time.
That doesn’t happen anymore, instead I am just nervous, take some deep breaths and pray. Once I get out there, generally besides a little extra sweating I do fine. LOL
I will check out your post in the forum later today as I designated this evening to play catchup in the forum. 😉 Blessings brother!
