Perhaps the number 1 reason we stand out from people around the world is because of our ability to help people have a Kung Fu transformation. From this day forward when I speak about Kung Fu, I am speaking about all martial art systems around the world.
We as humans have more in common than we think. It is seen clearly in the world of martial arts. The problem is that martial arts have been diluted because of ego, pride, fear, and a list of other reasons.
We here at Enter Shaolin encourage all martial artists from everywhere to plug into our training because we know when they learn the Ngo Dac Na System, Tai Chi & Qigong… These 3 things will completely transform their training and yes, their whole life.
This is because what we teach will enhance every aspect of a person’s life on so many levels that it’s more than I have time to express in this particular blog post. However, I do hope this will give you a glimpse of what I am sharing with you right now.
Developing Kung Fu Sensitivity
Special thanks goes out to Shihan David for inviting Sifu Phu Ngo out to Colorado to participate in the Rocky Mountain Thunder. If he hadn’t, we wouldn’t have been able to share this impromptu lesson that Sije Jamie captured for us.
We have talked about the 3 pillars of training a person goes through when they start their own Kung Fu journey. The first 2 pillars of training can totally be done online and solo. But that last part, the sensitivity part can’t be trained without a training partner and getting corrections in person from Sifu Phu and myself from time to time.
In fact, if you come across any martial art site that says differently, I recommend keeping your money in your pocket. Because the fact is, you need to pressure test your skill sets to make sure they work when you need them the most.
This post isn’t just about having a Kung Fu transformation…
It’s really about having a mind-bending matrix-level awakening in your martial arts journey.
This Is The Only Skill That Matters
This video was taken back in 2019 my youngest daughter here was 12 yrs old at the time of this recording. We are doing some sensitivity training based on our game of hands and a bit of Chi Sao. I taught her no forms, no structure, I just taught her the deflections she needed to work on her sensitivity.
This video was filmed a year later. I am having both my daughter’s training together. With my oldest Anna I focused on tai chi and grappling and a little Wing Chun, with Cara my youngest I focused more on Wing Chun and Chi Na because at the time she was already also training in Wushu. My reasoning is to have them also teach other.
When I think about my own martial art journey, I immediately think about my daughters. As a dad over the years, I have honed my skills with deadly accuracy because if anyone tries to harm my daughters they have to go through me.
With that said, what about when my daughters are out in the world on their own? Who is going to protect them then?
I have been teaching NDN principles to my girls since before they could speak. At first, it was just daddy having fun wrestling around with his daughters and over the years I have slowly been developing and increasing their skill sets.
It’s only now that my daughters are older that are they beginning to understand the skillset I instilled in them. I would not want to teach my daughters a martial art that relies on how strong or athletic a person is. I want my daughters to understand the Truth (the way, the Tao, etc.. ).
I also want all of you to also understand this truth. This is why the most important skill for you to have in your arsenal is Sensitivity. Developing your sensitivity opens up doors to effectively pressure testing yourself as well as learning how to deal with adrenaline.
A Call To Action
I am sure many of our members haven’t seen this clip yet, even though it’s been in the training vault since 2015. We really have a ton of video lessons inside the vault. With that said, this is a short clip with me training with one of our Abbot members Marlon, I was sharing with some Ngo Dac Na energy training.
Here’s some really good news for you. Once you understand this basic game I am playing with Shihan David in the video. You will have everything you will ever need to continue growing and developing your skills.
In fact, once you fully grasp what this game teaches you will be able to learn from every single person you touch hands with. (You really should re-read what I just wrote and fully understand it).
You can learn an incredible amount online, however, you can’t get the energy work you need from the internet. And you can’t really get it from training partners if you have no point of reference to start from.
The only way for you to begin training sensitivity correctly is to touch hands with someone who understands and can apply our NDN principles. And the only people who can do that are people who have actually trained with us in person. 😉
So find someone who has trained with us or come train with us yourself or better yet, do both!
One of my biggest, whys for training in martial arts, was and is to protect my family. I take that very seriously. If you are serious about protecting yourself and your loved ones find the time, money, or whatever it takes to learn what we are teaching.
It will transform every aspect of your life.
It starts with immersing yourself inside the training hall. Focus hard on the 2/3rds of your training and plan to come to seminars, grab some private lessons, etc. If you come prepared for a seminar or private lesson, then you will leave a changed person.
That much I can promise you.
In Closing…
This is your journey and only you know what is right for you to do. However, if you are serious about your training and you want to have an experience like NEO did in the Matrix, then here are the exact steps I want you to follow…
- Step 1 – Learn our 10 basic Qigong Exercises.
- Step 2 – Learn our Sil Lum Tao form.
- Step 3 – Learn the 1st third of our Tai Chi form.
- Step 4 – Plugin to the Ngo Dac Na 101 Course.
- Step 5 – Plugin to Webinars, and get critiques.
- Step 6 – Plugin to the Enter Shaolin community.
- Step 7 – Plugin to training clubs, seminars + private lessons.
If you come prepared for a seminar or private lesson, I promise you it will take the reality you think you know right now and turn it on its head. You will feel things you never experienced before. And maybe for the first time in your life, you will truly understand what it means when we say things like, “Size doesn’t matter.” and “Style is irrelevant.”.
You will finally begin a journey that will change every fiber of your being. Some would say it’s the beginning of a form of enlightenment.
I prefer to see it as just the truth. They say that a picture says a thousand words…
Our video training is priceless, so imagine what feeling what is right in person is worth and how much further you will go once you experience it. 🙂
That’s EXACTLY what will give you a Matrix Level Kung Fu transformation.

Dear Sifu Larry,
It was interesting to see your daughters train. I hope I can learn this well enough to teach my eight year old daughter. Where in the training hall can I find the best introduction on “push hands” and “hands”?
Sifu Larry Rivera says
You can, we have some beginner push hands training Tai Chi section | Module 3 | starting at lesson 9 and work your way down. There will be more advanced training in the VIP section. We are currently filming for that section.
As long as your child is excited to train with you, you can begin their training at any age. When I first started teaching my kids, I never taught them the martial art side of what we were doing. I always framed it as a game I was just playing with them, where I would let them win most of the time and lose just enough to have them wanting to come back and play again.

Thanks for the info and your quick reply. That’s a good strategy. I will have to study the video. Also, I’ve been trying to be more conscious of applying Sifu’s advice from the last webinar about “focusing on nothing and seeing everything”. It really is a game changer in every aspect of life. This can be a life saver one day. You never know!
Sifu Larry Rivera says
Yes, learning how to see nothing and everything is a game changer 🙂

Is it fair to Call Si Lim
Tao a form? I luv practicing it daily and try to show and explain to My workout partners. I like calling it a exercise of the different hands to test the energy of their effectiveness.
Sifu Larry Rivera says
A good chunk of it is directly coming from the Sil Lum Tao form.
Jonathan D Weitz says
The girls abilities are impressive. They are not helpless.
The “In Closing” gives a valuable roadmap. Right now I am concentrating on step 1 which you can do solo (the videos have great detail). Step 2, I never heard of (Sil Lum Tao). Your step 3 (Tai Chi) might give me a different perspective since I have been doing Tai Chi for 5 years.
Thanks for the roadmap hints.
Sifu Larry Rivera says
Awesome, and thanks!

Really good seeing how amazing your daughters are. I just met a guy yesterday and while he was telling me he might be interested in training with me says out of nowhere that he has a 4 year old. I sounded like he wanted to be able to teach his kid too. Hopefully we will do some training and now I can tell him how Sifu Larry can help break kids out of the matrix.
Seeing these videos really helps me think about how I can get partners interested through the use of games that are fun but also effective tools.
Sifu Larry Rivera says
That’s great to hear. I plan on doing some kid training videos. That I think will help out the family.

Very good training advice Sifu Larry. From my journey of Judo, and Japanese Karate as a teen, to Tae kwon do as an adult, it took
Tai Chi to open my eyes. In relaying the lessons from the Q&A’s,
and tutorials to my students, I hope to open their eyes.
Forever a student,
Dan
Sifu Larry Rivera says
Thanks, and yes when someone starts seeing Tai Chi for what it is. They will begin to understand
why it’s called the Grand Ultimate Fist.
So glad you are enjoying the Q&A’s 🙂
San D says
Thanks you sifu for great information and knowledge
Sifu Larry Rivera says
You’re welcome!
Darren Butson says
Your girls are awesome Sifu Larry.
Wish my kids would get into it.
Looking forward to the child orientated videos.
Hopefully they may help me get mine interested.
Thank you for the vids you all take the time to make. My life has changed for the better since NDN.
I did start the 101 then decided that the Qigong was more important for myself. Am still going to finish 101, not before it comes up on the list tho.
Respect,
Darren
Sifu Larry Rivera says
Thanks Darren, Also glad you are enjoying the training.
