Sifu’s Corner – Using Elbow Power In Wing Chun

WING CHUN ELBOW POWER

If you are new to Sifu’s Corner every week we look for questions from our subscribers and get Sifu Phu to answer them for you.

If you have any questions you would like to see answered just let us know. We will do our best to answer your questions.

This week’s questions come out of our 5-day free video course lesson 5.

The question is: What about elbow power? Wing Chun talks about elbow power and it’s better to take out bigger opponents.

Elbow strikes are one of the most powerful strikes you can use. However, often times people end up striking wrong with the elbow.

The question was about elbow power in Ving Tsun and not about elbow strike 🙂

The elbow always has forward energy to support the wrist, without it, the wrist can’t do its job. Hope this answers your question, if not could you ask a different way to better elaborate your question? Thanks
