This week we have been dealing with some more technical difficulties behind the scenes. Thankfully we have got most of them squared away and are working on implementing more fixes this upcoming week to make the site work and move more smoothly for all!
I wanted to also let you know that we will have all the info on our Washington D.C. event by next Friday. I was suppose to get a few quotes in today from the several hotels we were looking at in the Crystal City/Arlington area, however they never actually sent them. 🙁 I left messages, but don’t expect to hear back until after the 4th as many are taking vacations.
Sorry for the delay family! Once I get the info, I will be able to let you know how to register, what hotel and airport is best for those flying in, etc.
We are super excited about having our first seminar and looking forward to meeting some new family members as well as reuniting with others!
For those that don’t know what the 4th of July is, it’s about the original 13 colonies of the United States of America declaring their unanimous independence from British control and their right to be independent states.
Here is a powerful excerpt from the Declaration of Independence:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. â That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, â That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”

While most people spend the 4th of July BBQing and watching fireworks, I have to wonder how many people ponder on these words above and think about the many people who are not being given the option of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Indeed these are certain unalienable Rights endowed by our Creator and indeed there are many Governments and higher-up people trying to suppress these Rights.
One of the greatest things we can do for ourself, is create our own personal victory and independence. It’s our God-given right to do so.
I also believe that by constantly working on our mind, body and spirit we indeed create those things. This is because when those 3 things are in balance and harmony, the enemy within cannot harm you and the enemy outside also can’t touch you.
I’ve shared in the past some of the things that help me do just that. You can read about how these tools have helped me stay healthy mind/body/soul here.
Here is my updated list of independence tools:
1. Prayer & Meditation.
2. Forgiveness of self and others.
3. Eating whole foods (more wild edibles and 80% raw).
4. Exercising consistently (which can be weight lifting, C.O.R.E. training, biking, hiking to dancing the night away).
5. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) also called Tapping.
6. Kung Fu as a whole, especially Qigong and Tai Chi.
7. Yoga, which I find enhances my Kung Fu and vice versa.
8. Making time to read Scriptures and other uplifting/educational materials daily.
9. Spending more time in nature, whether walking, swimming, soaking up the views or foraging wild edibles.
10. Creating opportunities for more laughter and love, these are the best medicines around!
11. Creating more opportunities to bless others and help them to have more freedom too.
