Hey family, how are you? Sorry, we are getting this out to you later than normal. I came down with a wicked head cold out of nowhere that kept me in recoup mode Most of Friday and all of Saturday. I did a lot of sitting, laying down & meditating Qigong and kept my meals small, healthy and fresh. I have not felt that sick in many moons and it came out of nowhere.
I am positive the only reason I am still not down and out is all the healing work I did between food, drink, Qigong and good ol’ sleep. More on the Qigong part in a bit.
While I don’t like having to be down for long, it gave me a lot of time to reflect and think about what we are working on here at Enter Shaolin with our new team members Dan & Philicia. One, I really am looking forward to when our team members can help out with the weekly update! π
All joking aside, it’s really is awesome having them helping and I know as each week passes they will be able to help us to do even more for Enter Shaolin. Sifu Larry and I have gotten to things we just haven’t had the time to get to before and each week we get to work on and improve something else. Halleluyah!
While I was down and out, Sifu Larry was busy with dad duties as his daughter Anna had a big show to prep for with her band. He’s their sound dude so there was a lot to coordinate.
My other Qigong reflections after talking to Sifu Larry over the phone while I was curled up in my own personal sweat lodge aka a pile of blankets aka being wrapped up like a human burrito…
Was that it’s time we really delve even deeper into Qigong. I’ve talked/written about numerous times about how much Qigong has helped me personally and I feel like we are just not getting the point across as much as we would like.
We don’t want you to know just how to fight really well, we want you to know how to heal yourself really well. So we are going to be diving deeper into Qigong in hopes to inspire more of you to start your Qigong or dive deeper too.
I know we have the power to heal ourselves, some of that is through what we eat, some of that is through minding our emotions/feelings/thoughts, some of that is through movement and so much more.
If you are reading this and you haven’t started doing your Qigong 10 basic exercises daily, may I ask… Why not? And, what are you waiting for?
It’s literally the simplest, most time-efficient way you can give back to your whole life and everyone around you.
You won’t regret starting Qigong, but you will regret stopping if you start.
One of our Abbot members Jacob asked shortly after our D.C. Seminar, “What if a person doesn’t believe Qigong works, can it still help them?”
I said, “The great thing about Qigong is it works regardless of your belief.”
As I was watching a documentary this weekend on Qigong, a Qigong master said something similar. He said, “If you believe in it, it works. If you don’t, it still works!”
So even if you think it won’t work, I challenge you to give yourself 90 days. You won’t be the same afterward and as we say in the South. The proof is in the pudding! π
Before we head to your review, I’d like to share some of the short training tips we have added on to YouTube lately. These are being taken from prior Q&A’s thanks to Dan! I hope you like the thumbnails too, I’ve been able to have the time to make more unique ones for each new one we put out thanks to Philicia! Go team!

I am VERY intrested in starting the Qigong healing. I cannot find the videos to do so. I love this group and want so badly to be a true member however i am working for free on a farm in nowhere kansas lol out in the sticks. The videos have added a tremoundous amount of “realism” to what martial arts i already knew and taught. I would love to move into the Qigong arena as soon as i can. Thank you all at enter Shaolin.

Hey Andrew, I see you are an Intro member which is our free membership that gives you access to the NDN Intro lessons, ebook and some bonus content. To get access to our Qigong and full training suite, you would want to upgrade to a Junior membership. We happen to have a sale going on (https://entershaolin.com/lifestyle), which might be in your budget? Itβs 37/mo, we have members in the sticks and even the middle of forests in 3rd world countries. I know you said you work for free right now, why not see if you can work for $40/week, so you can better yourself? Never hurts to try. There are also many things that can be done online relatively easily to earn a simple $37/mo. As they say when there is a will, there is a way. You just got to find it. ????
