Hey family, how has your week gone thus far?
Mine did not go as planned, meaning my special goodies for you ran into some technical difficulties. I would love for just once things to work and go as smoothly as they are suppose to when we go to launch something new, however rarely is this the case. LOL! It’s like going to battle for your dreams on the reg. and I guess that isn’t necessarily a bad thing when you think about it…
Having to fight for your dreams keeps you motivated, keeps your dreams alive, makes you get creative and then some. Then there is the flip side… The people that give up as soon as one little obstacle shows up in the path to their dreams or goal, these people make a mountain out of a mole hill and just plain give up at the first sight of things not going the way they expect.
Don’t let this be you. I don’t care if money seems tight, your schedule is a mess, your not feeling well, whatever it is… Figure it out and don’t let it keep you from being more.
Just think if I would have given up on my dream of Sifu Phu teaching me and others via the Internet back in 2009 when Sifu Larry laughed at the idea and though I was insane. If I would have given up on the first no, or the second or the many over the years, well you wouldn’t even know what Enter Shaolin is and I wouldn’t be writing this to you now, nor would I have ever got to finally start training the way I wanted to.
These dreams didn’t happen overnight, so don’t expect yours to either. It took me from the age of 4.5 till I was 32.5 to finally get to start my Kung Fu journey. It took from May 2009 to May 1st, 2014 to see my Enter Shaolin dreams take flight.
I’m not telling you this to seem cool, but to implore you to not give up, to keep going despite all the obstacles that come your way, because they will come!
I get emails on a regular basis of people giving up on their Kung Fu dream due to money being tight, too busy, or some other excuse. One little obstacle and they are derailed. But it doesn’t have to be that way. It’s only that way because they choose for it to be so. They allow their excuse to let them off the hook and just like that in a instant they throw in the towel and wave their white flag and surrender.
What’s really mind boggling is the one thing they are giving up on is one thing that can help them in all areas of their life…. Mind, body and soul. When you practice and train in Martial Arts and things like Qigong, Tai Chi and even C.O.R.E. training weekly and daily… Things change.
You handle stress better.
You think clearer.
You make better decisions.
You have more energy.
You are more centered.
Your immune system becomes like a fortress.
You are more positive.
You are stronger.
You are in better health.
You are able to defend and defuse things quicker.
And that is just some of the MANY benefits.
Now think about this, when you take the time to make the time to honor your mind, body and soul… It just makes sense that you will be able to handle day to day life and even unforeseen bumps in the road of life a whole lot better than when you remove the one thing that can truly help you in all areas. It’s like you are going through something hard and you are choosing to make it worse by stopping training and exercising.
The tools needed to thrive, are proverbially being thrown out the window. For many that sends them in a downward spiral, which will make them even more stressed, feel like they have even less time and money, etc. It doesn’t seem to make much sense to self-sabotage yourself like that, right!? But yet so many people do.
If there is one thing I want you to get in your Kung Fu journey, it’s that by working on you, you become the best you possible and that you don’t have time to not have the time to do that. Because when you are the best you, you can create your best life. You can be a better friend, brother, sister, wife, husband, business owner, employee, etc. when you have you together.
Don’t give up on you!
It may take longer than you expect, but the results will be well worth it.
Which reminds me about this week and really this past year. I have been diligently trying to get to you an Enter Shaolin clothing line. We’ve tried doing the local thing, however shipping rates worldwide were insane and we couldn’t seem to get our clothing made in a timely manner. To not being given the graphics we payed to have made, to trying various outsourcers to get our graphics done right and getting no where fast, to scouring the internet for an online print on demand solution that would meet the needs of our family around the world…
While giving us the clothing selection we needed (like pants) and being able to get things printed on the pant legs and on long sleeve shirts. And then there was the concern about quality once we finally got everything narrowed down and the graphics right. Will it look good, will it last them through many washes, etc.?
Well all the sweat, tears, stress, research and digging have finally payed off. Last week we got our test clothing in and we were really impressed with the quality. We are using a technique that is a little more expensive than screen printing called Flex Print. It is suppose to last for 100 washes with no color changes. Granted you have to make sure to wash your clothes properly to achieve this (cold water with like colors, tumble dry inside out or hang to dry).
But hey that is over 10x better than what we got from our local supplier! We had somethings start cracking after a few washes plus colors changing and their was a big inconsistency between one shirt and another. That’s just not okay with us. We also wanted to have a company that has good customer service, so if there was something wrong with your order, you could get it fixed or refunded fast.
We are happy to say, we finally got 99% of our requirements met, click here to check out and buy Enter Shaolin’s Official Clothing line.
For those going to Pittsburgh, PA on Nov. 13-15TH, I have one extra spot available. Someone bailed last minute. So, if you were on the fence about going, and want to go… Whomever contacts me first, can get it. 🙂
Besides Sifu Phu’s 1 hour seminar for all conference attendees, anyone coming with us will get two 3 hour bonus trainings with Sifu Phu that will be filmed. The first will be Nov. 14th from 12-3pm and then again the 15th from 10am-1pm.
Sadly, we were not able to get a training room at the same hotel as the conference, however the hotel we will be holding our extra sessions at is less than 2 miles away and an easy drive. We will make sure everyone coming gets there. 🙂
Another change we have for you is our new chat module. You will see it on the right hand side of the page. Please signup for it this, it is for members and non-members too. We have designated chatrooms for different subjects like Tai Chi, Wing Chun, etc. to make it easier for everyone to follow along and to find like-minded individuals. So come on in and help us test this new chat out!
As usual, if you have a lesson specific question, please post in the comments section below the lesson. We ask you to do this, so it makes it easier for us to help you, but also helps others who may come to that lesson and have the same questions. 🙂
And that’s it for this week. When you get your clothing, send us a pic of you rocking your Enter Shaolin gear and keep moving forward!
Now on to your training…

It is very good that you stay so active, like your encouragement…
Do you plan some seminar in NJ, Pittsburgh is long drive…
Jamie Pelaez says
Yes we do, and it’s not that long depending on where you are coming from. We drive 6 hours. But then again when I travel to see family most of my drive time is 12 hours and that’s solo driving, so to me 6 is a breeze. 🙂 Everything is what we make it, it can be a challenge or a breeze, too far or not far at all. It’s all a matter of what you allow to be perceived as an obstacle or not. 🙂
Sifu Phu has been invited to this conference for many years, so we do this yearly. We do plan on holding our own seminars which will start in NJ first. But that won’t be until late next year.

Jamie,
I have been looking for a traditional black Kung fu jacket, you know the one that has the straight collar and the loop buttons down the front. I did not see any of those offered on your clothing selection. If you would carry one, I would purchase one (I qualify that by saying as long as it is in the typical price range of those type jackets). There may be more people out there looking for that type of jacket as well. I particularly don’t care for the fancy colored competition jackets, but I would like to have a basic black one with your logo. Just wanted to give my feed back.
Jamie Pelaez says
Hey David, unfortunately our supplier does not have those or we would offer them. It was difficult just finding our other requirements. We could probably find a supplier to sell those, but not one we could have print on demand or customize with or logos or be able to offer discounted shipping worldwide. I have yet to be able to find the traditional gear like that. Sifu Phu trains in the type of clothing we are selling as well as Sifu Larry which is why we based our official clothing line this way.
This isn’t what you are asking for, but is the closest thing we would have to a competition style jacket: http://shop.spreadshirt.com/EnterShaolin/enter+shaolin+unisex+track+jacket+black-A103424294
Blessings!
