Another week has come and gone… What have you done to improve your skill this week?
I’ve been working on Qigong, Tai Chi and Sil Lum Tao daily. Also, I’ve been working on strength training. Right now I am averaging 5 days a week. This next week I am shooting for 6.
Thursdays and Saturdays I get together with some of the local Enter Shaolin brothers to play hands and work on other skills. One thing I know for sure, is if you want something bad enough, you will make it happen.
It’s funny, because some people seem to think Enter Shaolin and training with whom I consider masters just fell into my lap. When in reality this has been something I have been dreaming about since I was 4 1/2 years old, didn’t find what I was looking for until I was 27 1/2 and did not get to do anything with until last year at 32 1/2.
More on that another day. : )
My point is, if you want something bad enough, things will work out in your favor eventually. You just have to be consistently persistent and refuse to give up.
How bad do you want to master Kung Fu? Are you willing to get out of your own way and are you willing to not allow anything to get in your way?
I ask these questions, because a lot of times I get emails from people letting a lot of small things get into their way. It’s sad to see. Sometimes, I realize Kung Fu really isn’t their passion and that is okay and other times I just see people giving up on their dreams and passion because of a few bumps in the road. I pray that isn’t you and that you will choose to persevere through the obstacles of life.
Speaking of obstacles… If you are a member and you are not getting your member emails for instance the one we send out every Friday, letting you know what’s new, then please email us at support@entershaolin.com.
We made a few changes to the top menu on Enter Shaolin. Training has been moved to under ‘Members’. You will notice we added a ‘Praise’ section for praise reports about Enter Shaolin and Sifu Phu Ngo. If you have a praise report about what you have learned here at Enter Shaolin, we would love to hear from you too. You can email a video or written testimonial to: support@entershaolin.com.
