Why Enter Tai Chi

Many of you may know us from our popular YouTube Channel Enter Tai Chi. When I started that YouTube channel I really didn’t have any direction. I just knew that I wanted to share what my Sifu taught me over the years. I have been blessed to be able to train with a Sifu at the caliber of Sifu Phu Ngo.
At first I tried all types of things I created a private social network. That didn’t workout well because the company I used went out of business and ultimately the scripting was to buggy. Between having my own martial arts school and being a full time online marketer I kept enter tai chi as a pet project of mine.
Friends of mine saw what we created and they really wanted us to keep filming, so I recorded about 50 more times. I wasn’t prepared for the outpouring of people wanting more from us.
Well my friends the time is here. I have my marketing team working on Enter Shaolin with the goal of bringing you the best supplemental training on the internet.
To those of you who have been commenting and giving us thumbs up on youtube I apologize for not engaging with you guys and gals more. To be 100% honest I didn’t realize just how much was actually going on our youtube channel.
We only put up 50 videos in 4 years. Fast forward to now, for the past month we have been uploading more videos to our enter tai chi channel. At the time of this blog post we are in the process of putting together our evergreen membership site. Meaning that we will be adding on – going training videos to this membership site, that’s not all. We are also planning to do live monthly webinars as well as hold actual seminars for our members.
I am not naive enough to believe that you can learn kung fu just by joining an online site. Certainly nothing replaces face to face training. However, we decided to teach our brand of kung fu ( The Ngo – Dac – Na System ) because nobody else online or offline is focusing on energy the way that we do.
Sifu Phu teaches Jujitsu guys, mma guys, karate guys, Boxers, Wrestlers etc… All of them agree that what he teaches them enhances their respective skills.
Back to my Enter Tai Chi Story
Originally, the idea was that we would turn Enter Tai Chi into something. Though after thinking about it for a few years, what we do is heavily rooted in Shaolin. This is why we decided to create Enter Shaolin because it fits inline with what we do.
Personally for me, Tai Chi was the key that unlocked my martial art skill. In my early years I studied Karate even after several years of training in Kung Fu I was still having problems dealing with my own force.
It wasn’t until I started doing Qigong and my Tai Chi form did I start feeling Chi. Constantly practicing my Taichi enabled me to connect with the rest of my body in a way that I was not able to do in prior years.
I would have to say my skill level jumped up 80% just by including Tai chi into my regular practice. I think one of the reasons why Tai Chi gets a bad reputation among some martial art circles is because in order to truly be good at Tai chi it takes many many years of practice. Because when I first started I was very interested in learning how to fight Tai chi didn’t really appeal to me.
After about 6 years of training in Wing Chun and Chi’na I felt something was lacking in my skill. I couldn’t put my finger on it. Sifu suggested that I should start doing Taichi. He was right, Taichi made all the difference, it improved my stand up game as well as my ground game. Because it helped me read energy better and it helped me to learn pressure control.
It was Taichi that ultimately made me realize that style is meaningless….
…So I created EnterTaiChi out of respect for the art because it helped me so much.

That’s awesome Johan,
we are getting ready to put some Tai Chi training up on our YouTube Channel. Were also going to be doing a lot more training on internal force inside our site once we launch it.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting
100 % agree with you.. I used to practice taichi and chiqong b4 starting wing chun , well it makes a lot of difference to understand the concept of energy , to cut it short ; energy gives u the key to right thinking even if u r facing a new situation that you don’t have the counter move of it..
Thats what attracted me to Sifu Phu , he was the 1st one to explain the energy theory inside his wing chun system , it makes a lot of sense , but strange enough almost no one explain it ( except sifu Phu ofcourse ) !
Well , that will be it , Good luck , and may time comes to visit your class
Hello! I’ve been interested in mastering martial arts for years now and I’ve read so many good things about Sifu Phu.
I already subscribed in order to get my ebook and 5 daily lessons. My problem is: I only got the 1st day and have been waiting for the next daily lessons. What do I have to do to get the rest of the lessons.
If you can help, I’d really appreciate it!

You are very welcome Eric! Did you get re-signed up okay?
Glad you have been enjoying the videos thus far. I’m very grateful we can help you in your martial arts journey. 🙂
Oh no, I am the grateful one. These lessons are so fundamental and core to any style that I feel I can conquer combat with these techniques. I’m very excited, I’m considering becoming a member when I get home from college.
Also, signing up went well, thank you again. 🙂
Could you let Sifu Phu know that I’m thankful for the lessons? I hope to master the system so I can be like his successor or something!
Your welcome Eric. We hope you can too. Always looking for successors to pass this down as if is my family art and I wouldn’t want it to die. I’d like to teach those who and willing to learn and train and perfect it better than me. 🙂
Sweet! Yes, I want to master any application and understand the art so I can perfect it. I want to teach people near me so they can understand as well.
I’ll let you know if I have anymore questions in the future.

I am very excited to learn more and see how sifu’s teaching in Taichi blends as part of his overall teaching on fundamental energy works in martial arts. My very first introduction to martial arts was Chen style Taichi, which was in someway easier to understand than Yang style. Will be following this series closely! Also, does sifu have any training on Chen style? (just want to see if I will be going back to my roots)
Hi Yin Ting C, yes I have learned chen style tai chi. I didn’t stick to it as I found that it is too stressful on the body with all the low stances and veered away from it. I also found out that many people to do as they get older and learn the yang style cause it’s more natural to the body while chen stresses the body too much as you get older.
I have been working with Pratical tai chi chuan for 12 years and have been teaching for the past 2 years. Your approach to techniques reminds me of the education I have received from my Sifu, which makes me find much inspiration through your Youtube channel, I would like to thank you very much, stick to the good work. Thanks for the new inspiration. many greetings from Denmark
Nice to meet you Soren, thanks for reading…
can you explain and show what ‘cai lang’ is?
We don’t use that terminology. I did some research on the word. Are you referring to fa jin, rooting, sticking, adhering and wave like movements?
