I feel Tai Chi is one of the most mis understood martial art in the world. Which is surprising to me because it’s also one of the oldest styles dating back thousands of years.
For many people when they hear the words Tai Chi they think of health and wellness. While it is true that training in this martial art will yield great results in your health and wellness. Often times people don’t realize just how powerfully devastating Tai Chi is for combat.
Tai Chi A Challenge In Patience
I believe one of the main reasons why people tend not use Tai Chi as a fighting art is because of the amount of time it takes to learn how to use it effectively in combat. The flip side of that is, as soon as you start training in Tai Chi you will quickly start seeing the results of that training.
I can verify from first hand experience and from the experience of others who have been down the same road. Learning Tai Chi can help increase your skill in all other martial arts.
I will go as far as saying if you are serious about your martial art journey you owe it to yourself to include some form of Tai Chi and Qigong training into your martial training routine.
