Enter Shaolin Update | How to Make 2021 Not Suck

ENTER SHAOLIN WEEKLY UPDATE

Hey family, hope this post finds you well. 🙂

I think we can all attest that 2020 didn’t go as planned…

And, well maybe 2021 has felt like a repeat of 2020 or maybe even worse for some of us so far.

If I am honest life has been throwing some serious curveballs since Jan. 1st of 2018 for me when my mom unexpectantly passed away at the age of 54.

JAMIE PELAEZ AND MOM
The last time I seen my mom Jan. 2017.

Shout out to all of those who wrote in when this happened to share your love, experiences, and words of encouragement. I only made it through about a dozen but I did save every single message and will one day read them all when I can.

I shared about how Qigong and Tai Chi helped me through planning her funeral and the moments right after here.

I also wrote later that year when around my first birthday without my mom and some more firsts without her how Qigong and Tai Chi saved the day again along with my faith and then some here.

In 2019 my daughter went through a major mental health crisis that required doubling up on weekly therapy sessions, leaving Enter Shaolin’s office early, tons of nights crying out in prayer for guidance, feeling like a complete failure as a mother, hours upon hours researching for assistance to trying different supplements with a pre-teen fighting me all the way.

Love, prayer, therapy and patience got us through.

To my best friend, business partner, and Sifu, Sifu Larry going on a cancer healing journey, and I being his bestie became his personal shopper/chef, cheerleader, researcher, prayer partner, and supplement provider.

Faith, deliverance, prayer, healing foods & friendship.

Posts from Sifu Larry’s cancer healing journey:

  • Healing Journey, Prayer Requests
  • Update On Healing (You will find links to the other important posts regarding this in this post.)

My dad also had a health scare that year. Which I talked about in the second Qigong past linked earlier in this post.

IMG 3112
My rockstar daddy-o, Jaya and I. Smiling & never giving up despite our life challenges.

And not to mention the crazy tech issues we have had the past several years…

From servers needing to be upgraded, cyber-attacks, email provider issues (still working on this as our prior solution is now acting up), plugin conflicts (looking for an all-in-one community, live class/event plus course platform with an app.), affiliate plugins working than not (still an active issue), from having a few helpers to having to say goodbye to them due to lack of funds…

We also went into debt as a business to the tune of $135,000… Which we expected to have paid off by now…

We created a campaign to get help, but well lets just say it was a flop…

Two ways you can help us get to Enter Shaolin 2.0:

  1. Check out our Dreamscape
  2. Use Paypal

Then 2020 happened or rather COVID happened.

All our plans for having a lot of seminars in 2020 at Sifu Phu’s school to cut costs and enable us to actually profit from our seminars which would have enabled us to annihilate our debt, went poof.

Along with the local events to create exposure and our ability to teach in person all went up in smoke which meant our ability to pay back the very top-heavy emergency loan in a timely manner also vanished.

We saw our membership numbers go up and down all of 2020 due to others experiencing similar issues in their business and work.

Then as if that wasn’t all enough, my maternal grandparents, who were my last living grandparents passed from cancer over the Summer.

My Grandpa had an aggressive throat cancer caught late stage due to a poor medical system and My Grandmother was in late stage pancreatic cancer following the advice of a broken medical system. One we saw coming and the other blindsided us. Both within a month of each other.

They were the last of the glue that kept our extended family sort of together. I miss them immensely, but also happy they are at peace and not experiencing what is going on in our world now.

IMG 3566
Jan. 2020 at Rainbow Springs in Florida. One of our last moments together.

I wasn’t able to go to their funerals due to COVID travel restrictions and requirements coming from New Jersey to Florida. As if it wasn’t all hard enough already.

Cancer sucks. Big pharma sucks... And those peddling masking symptoms instead of healing them, well they suck too. I’d say no offense, but I hope they are offended because they need to get agitated so change can occur.

Thank you in advance.

Our medical system and food systems are broken and unfortunately, not enough people care to make a full switch. Some don’t realize what they are doing, but more do and don’t care due to greed and corruption.

“Health is the greatest gift, contentment is the greatest wealth.” – Gautama Buddha

It’s why we have to be good stewards of our personal temple and test/prove all things.

I tried to help both of my Grandparents, but they were both too stubborn in their own ways and while my Grandpa was starting to wake up to the lies and corruption of the medical system, unfortunately, it was too little too late.

My Grandma honestly thought her doctors had her best interest at heart and no amount of books, articles and facts could change her mind. People don’t know what they don’t know and when they are unwilling to educate themselves they perish for a lack of knowledge.

Take control of your health, if you won’t… Who will?

These types of things are why I am so passionate about helping people heal mind, body & spirit because most of the hardships we go through or loved ones go through are not only preventable but also curable.

If that wasn’t enough challenges, there are all the crazy relationship issues that have been going on the past several years from family, friends, spouses, etc. We’ve seen it all from family blocking and banning each other, breakups, separations and divorces looming.

It suffices to say mental health crisis, suicides, and domestic violence has been on the rise.

ADOBESTOCK 81377842
Seek balance; mind, body & spirit.

This is why taking care of ourselves mind, body & spirit is pertinent, and encouraging others to do the same while being the proverbial light shining in the dark is a must.

The whole COVID-19 and political drama worldwide, sometimes makes me wonder if we are living in some crazy Hollywood production?

Sifu Larry shared a bit about this in this post here: MASS HYSTERIA WTH IS Going ON?

But you know what, fam?

Despite all the personal and business trials and tribulations; the insane ups and downs…

We know we haven’t been alone. Though honestly, I would feel better if we were! I don’t wish any of this even on my worst of enemies. Do you feel me?

But what good has come from all these ups and downs?
Self-reflection. Healing. Re-strategizing. Creativity. Perspective. Boundaries. Growth.

So how can we despite all the ups and downs, choose to turn 2021 around despite most of the media and politicians predicting doom and gloom?

“When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.” – Dalai Lama

It starts with personal responsibility and personal healing; mind, body & spirit. And the good news is, you are not alone and as long as you are still breathing, there is still hope and opportunity to grow.

Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity.” – Hippocrates

    Hi Jamie,
I’m sorry to hear about the losses you had in the past few years. It seems the more family, and friends we have, the more potential there is for loss and hurt.

    Stay well,
    Dan

      Hey Dan, how are you?

Staying well and thanks for the condolences. Indeed the more people we have in our lives the more chances to experience loss, etc. Loss is definitely a part of life and to handle the ups and downs we must take great care of our mind, body & spirit.

      Peace!

Hi Jamie, I’m doing good and hope that you are too. I had Covid last month, which slowed me down for about a week, but I’m back to normal, what ever that is. At least my energy levels are good. Yup, 2020 was less than a stellar year. Lets hope we can get back to normal in 2021 Blessings, Dan

Thank you so much Karl. I have lost a lot of the majors in my life from child, to parent and now all my grandparents. I am use to death in some ways, but yes it is harder when we can’t be there for our loved ones.

I’m having trouble accessing Dealing with the shoulder grab from behind. It says I have to be a member even though I’m already logged in. The other lessons I clicked seem to work fine.
